Blanket of Serenity
Serenity, covers me
Like a blanket of peace and tranquility
My life’s complete w/o you here
There’s nothing left in life for me to fear
But fear itself
Hanging out with my friends on the weekend
Getting drunk with my cat on the floor again
Finished traveling the states playing baseball
Now I’m playing real late in the parish hall
I’m happy with the cards dealt in my hand
Although I may not understand
I know that my life has a plan
There’s nothing left in life to fear
But fear itself
Going home doing laundry on the weekend
Riding rides with my sis at the park again
Finished stressing ‘bout the girls I’m not dating
Just enjoying all the friends that I’m making
I’m happy with the cards dealt in my hand
Although I may not understand
I know that my life has a plan
There’s nothing left in life to fear
But fear itself
Working late…coming home
Working out… all alone
Going out… with out a chick
Never miss… a major flick
Playing games… drinking beer
Nothing left in life to fear…
Sleeping in watching TV on the weekend
Playing music with my bud in the garage again
Finished worrying ‘bout the love I’m not getting
Now I’m shagging my wife in the kitchen
I’m happy with the cards dealt in my hand
Although I may not understand
I know that my life has a plan
There’s nothing left in life to fear
But fear itself
And all those fears I used to have
I’ve now replaced, they’ve all been faced
My blanket of serenity covers me
And keeps me warm from life’s uncertainty
